Logbook Privacy Policy

Logbook is a local-first app designed to help you track and review parts of your daily life, including activity, planner items, expenses, nutrition, notes, and reminders.

Overview

Logbook is built to keep your information on your device.

• Logbook does not require an account.
• Logbook does not upload your logs to a developer-owned server.
• Logbook does not include advertising SDKs.
• Logbook does not include third-party analytics SDKs.
• Your entries are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export them.

Information Stored by the App

Depending on how you use Logbook, the app may store the following information locally on your device:

• Activity sections, subsections, and logs
• Planner items, schedules, reminders, and completion notes
• Expense categories and expense entries
• Nutrition entries and meal types
• Day notes and reflections
• App preferences and organization settings

This information is used only to provide the app’s features on your device.

Data Collection

Logbook does not collect your personal data to the developer’s servers.

At the time of this policy, Logbook does not use accounts, cloud sync, third-party analytics, or advertising services that collect your in-app data.

Backups and Exports

Logbook allows you to create backups and focused exports manually.

• Backups and exports are created only when you choose to generate them.
• Exported files are saved or shared only through the system destinations you select.
• The developer does not automatically receive exported files.

Once an exported file leaves the app, you are responsible for how it is stored or shared.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Logbook may schedule local notifications on your device.

• Reminder scheduling is handled on device.
• Reminder data is not automatically uploaded to the developer.

Third-Party Services

At this time, Logbook does not use third-party advertising, analytics, account, or cloud-sync services that collect your app data.

If that changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before or with that change.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because your data is stored locally on your device:

• you can delete entries inside the app
• you can remove exported files manually
• deleting the app may remove locally stored app data, subject to iOS behavior and any backups you created

Security

Logbook relies on the security protections of iOS and your device environment. No storage method is perfectly risk-free, so you should keep your device updated and protected.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Logbook evolves. If the app’s data practices change in a meaningful way, this policy will be updated accordingly.
